How do I create a new page or rename a page?

In the top nav bar I have a link called "top sellers" which links to "best sells.php".

I want to replace that with the link name "contest" to link to "contest.php", if it's possible.

Where do I start?

Or any other solutions please let me know.

For you reference, here is what I think you can do:
- Create new pages via your back office: Tools - CMS
- Add to you new page to any link block like "Info block","Footer links block" via those modules

Thanks, I did think about creating the page and link via cms but then the link would not be to visible as it would be if it's in the top nav bar. That's where the clients wants it and hopefully it can be done.

Surely someone must know how I can add this link in the top nav bar???

I am not sure what you mean by "navigation bar". If it is a links module, you should be able to configure the module to include the new page you created to the module. If it not a module, then you also should be able to add it to corresponding .tpl file of the page.

I would like to rename the link Top Sellers to Contest.
Top Sellers link to a page best-sales.php, so I thought I could also create a page called contest.php.

I think you are using a custom theme, because I am not able to see the source code of your page, so I am not able to tell your "Best Seller" is in a module or not. But I guess that it is in the header.tpl of your theme.

Try to search in file ./themes/yourtheme/header.tpl for "best-sales.php" and replace it with cms.php?id_cms=YourPageID
(where YourPageID is the ID of your new page, you can find it at Tools - CMS)
