jromero
I'm trying to set up a new site with PrestaShop and I'm having some issues.I have many products that are always coupled with a support plan. I made those plans Accessories but I can't find how to define a default accessory for a product, so that the product can't be purchased alone. I also want to make sure that when a plan is selected the other plans are automatically dropped from the cart. Also (this is just esthetics), if the cart could show something like "Product + Accessory" instead of listing them apart, it would be great. I didn't find any hook to do such things.Any ideas? Thanks!
rocky
It sounds like you'd be better off using attributes instead of accessories. Go to Catalog > Attributes and groups and add a "Support plan" attribute group and add values "No support", "1-year support", "3-year support", etc depending on your needs, then go to the "3. Combinations" tab of the product editor, click the "Product combinations generator", then select the relevant support options for the product in the list box on the right, click "Add", then enter the price impact of "No support" as $0, "1-year support" as $100 for example, etc, then click "Generate", then "Back to product". jromero
Yes, I thought that also, but it doesn't work, as then each product+plan combination would have a different stock amount, but in reality product+plan1, product+plan2 and product+plan3 must share the same stock amounts (of "product").Thanks
fitao
hi if you choose the accessory option, this module can help you to save time http://addons.prestashop.com/fr/bulk-update/2885-mass-add-accessories.html regards
