babymaxi
1. Does anyone know how many words are recommended for the Google friendly URL? I have read that 3 to 5 words is a good amount and they shouldn't include words like and / the / a etc.2. Is it useful for Google to write the URLs in a directory style, e.g. www...... /backpacks-accessories-brand1, www...... /backpacks-accessories-brand2 and www...... /backpacks-accessories-brand3?Do you have any comments on this? Thank you!

Coding Staff
Google advise to use short URL, but as we see, many websites are in top with URL, that has 4-5 keywords in it.You've read right. Don't use a/the/and...
CataNic
Usually, you can insert in the url the most important 2-3 keywords. It doesn't influence very much the positions but the CTR will increase. Long keyword url's can be treated as spam url.
joerchosen49
I try to use 3 or less. The shorter the better.
GotLiveChat.com
Another possible reason to go with shorter URL is that if someone wants to email that direct link to a friend. If the link is really long it can get wrapped by some email programs, which causes the link to fail when clicked on by the recipient.
srvaliente
Hi I am SEO and I advise you also that the URL of your domain name to be as short as possible, also matches the theme of your homepage. That is, for example if you have an SEO blog, it would be simpler and more appropriate to name them as blogseo domininio. Comprenderám users is an SEO Blog and also search the blog for that title. Obviously the domain anchor text the words will also "seo blog", so apart. That is, all links that do to position our blog on the home page would be the keys "seo blog".Hope that helps.
