1.2 Template to 1.3.2?

Hi i am a noob Prestashop user i have found some great themes/templates to version 1.2 but also 1.3 problem is that i cant test the script yet (witing for hosting to be active) can any one tell me what will happen if i upload a 1.2, 1.3, or 1.3.1 theme on a 1.3.2 version? And what will happen once 1.4 is out if i now pick a older theme?
Hope someone understand my poor english and i know it might be a stupid question i would not have ask it if i the hosting was working.

If you use v1.2 template in v1.3.2, it will work, but you will be missing out on all the bug fixes made to the theme in v1.3.2. Also, some new features added in v1.3.2 won't work or display correctly. For example, the cross selling module will be missing its CSS.

The PrestaShop theme has been completely rewritten in v1.4, so you will be missing out on much more. You won't be able to use the new "Combine, Compress, Cache" feature of v1.4 if you are using an older theme.
