aliaspt
So, I added the sitemap to Google today and there is an HTML suggestion saying:Pages with missing title tags/modules/mailalerts/mailalerts-ajax_check.phpWhen I Google search my website, there is that link showing up and it is titled "0"How can I remove it from Google? rocky
Create a blank robots.txt file with chmod 666 in the root directory of PrestaShop, then go to Tools > Generators and click the "Generate robots.txt file" to create a robots.txt file that tells Google to ignore the modules directory. aliaspt
I have done that a couple of weeks ago because a SEO tool I subscribed to required that. It's just one mailalerts module. Do I need to regenerate the robots file? Thanks!
rocky
I don't understand why Google would ignore your robots.txt file, unless it was crawled before you generated the robots.txt file. Make sure you have the following in your robots.txt: Disallow: /modules/ That should tell Google not to crawl the modules directory or any of its subdirectories and files. aliaspt
I have this: Disallow: /shop/modules/My store is in the subfolder (shop) and is redirected to the main directory by htaccess code. I will give it more time in case it is a Google cache problem and see if it happens again.Thank you, Rocky.
Bubblemaker
you can "Remove a page or site from Google's search results", go to your webmaster tools and look for the page "Remove a page or site from Google's search results", it will explain how to do it. aliaspt
The "0" title is gone now, thank you for suggestion. Now Webmaster says I have duplicate title tags and shows pages with ?orderby=price&orderway=desc and ?orderby=name&orderway=asc in the links. Basically, different ways to sort the products in one category. Should I ignore this?
Bubblemaker
are you using a search-filter module?
aliaspt
No, I don't see it in the list of my modules. Why?

aliaspt
Now I have 54 duplicate title tags and meta descriptions versus 9 I had before installing this module. Would uninstalling it get things back to more or less normal?
