Two categories with the same name

I read: Note that the Category import does not support having two categories with the same name.

But I have main menu with: MAN and WOMEN and for each I have SHOES, BAGS, etc..

Example:

-MAN
--SHOES
--BAG

- WOMEN
--SHOES
--BAG

 

So, it  means I canno import the categoiries "shoes" and split in the properly category? How can I do?

I confirm that prestashop's default import tool does not have a feature that will distinct the categories if categories have the same name.

When I import the stuff I usually temporarily change the category name to unique one like:
- shoes1
- shoes2

this is the only one way currently to achieve what you expect (import product and associate with correct category) without MAJOR modifications of "import" feature core code.
