modify orders.php

Hello buddys, we are betting big on prestashop for our own online store, one of the things we want to improve is the cart stuff, we are working on get a cart process in the same page/step instead of 5 steps (cart, login, address, carrier, payment) we are working on template tpl that mean no problem for next versions or that but we are working on order.php aswell too, my ask is you guys know any other idea to avoid editing order.php, something like a module that remplace the file or something like that, i guess in the next version we will to reedit again the new order.php, understand the new changes, write again the new code and that....

...So any idea?

So we got it, we made that order process in two step, one for cart, address and carriers and last for the payment, so there is any way to make a module to tell prestashop to use "xxxx.php" instead of order.php?
