hi all, im looking to accept credit cards and debit cards on my website as at the moment, i only accept paypal, cheque and wire.

I was looking through the modules installed on prestashop and there is one called PayPalAPI v1.0
Accepts payments by PayPal using API.
Which i believe ie about accepting credit / debit cards.

How much does this cost?
Fees?
Does the module with prestashop WORK?

Is it work trying?


Is it simply as described, so that a customer can pay via card but through Paypal?

Its basically the same as the regular paypal module apart from it uses the Paypal API instead of IPN. You will need a SSL certificate on your site for it to work.

It doesnt cost anything extra to use the paypal API

You will definitely need SSL for this to work correctly. Without an active SSL the order will not be generated in your back office.

You need to speak to your host about adding a security certificate to your site.
