Bruz
I've read everything about importing .csv in this forum but can't get it working. This ist what my test-.csv looks like: Cote du Rhone AO 2006,6,Domaine Grand Nicolet,Rotwein Rasteau Village 2006,10,Domaine Grand Nicolet,Rotwein I choose Products to import, "," as delimiter - and it just gives me the error: Cote du Rhose AO 2006 cannot be saved Rasteau Village 2006 cannot be saved It's the very same with the example-csv from the wiki. The Categories and Manufacturers are created, but the product is not addet at all! jolvil
I used csv files made with EXCEL for categories first and next for products and it worked fine for me with more than 1000 products with V1.
Bruz
Okay, I'll fire up my PC with XP (I'm on MacOS X with Numbers or TextEdit and Safari, Firefox and Minefield right now) and give it a try!EDIT:Nope, same here.
Paul C
Have you tried it as: Cote du Rhone AO 2006;6;Domaine Grand Nicolet;Rotwein Rasteau Village 2006;10;Domaine Grand Nicolet;Rotwein I don't think changing the separators works yet........ but could be wrong :cheese: (By default comma is used to split multiple elements within a field e.g. options, and ; is used to delimit the actual fields, regardless of what the preview might lead you to believe!!)Paul
Bruz
Yes, I've done that - it's the same (using the german translation, it says "failed" to the two products in the .cvs but "success" to the overall import...)
jolvil
it's perhaps a problem with code of caractere, perhaps ô letter
Bruz
No, it's 1:1 the text I've postet above - I've read about problems with some chars, so I left those out.
Bruz
Sorry for posting again, but I really need this to work - on Sunday I'll have 10 people over to work out the product lists and we want to go online on Monday morning, so I need to be able to import those lists!Maybe a member of staff could say something to this issue? Should I go with 1.0?I'll donate of course to the project to support the great work that has been made!EDIT:It seems to be an language-issue?? I've turned "English" back on and set it as default - it seems to be working now!
Jo!
it's perhaps a problem with code of caractere, perhaps ô letter Guys, I have absolutelly the same problem. Changing default language doesn't help at all. THE ONLY WAY TO IMPORT IS TO HAVE ONLY ENGLISH LETTERS IN THE STRING LIKE THIS:"waaaaaaaaa THIS IS A PRODUCT";"THIS IS DESCRIPTION";23072;750,00;3So, CAN I IMPORT NON-ENGLISH PRODUCTS AT ALL??? (Of course it must work or else all project is meaningless!)And HOW?
Paul C
In theory it's meant to work by putting a ',' to separate the different languages.“waaaaaaaaa THIS IS A PRODUCT”, “waaaaaaaaa THIS IS A PRODUCT lang 2”;“THIS IS DESCRIPTION”,“THIS IS DESCRIPTION lang 2”;23072;750,00;3I've never tried so apologies if I'm stating the obvious!Paul
Jo!
“waaaaaaaaa THIS IS A PRODUCT”, “waaaaaaaaa THIS IS A PRODUCT lang 2”;“THIS IS DESCRIPTION”,“THIS IS DESCRIPTION lang 2”;23072;750,00;3 This doesn't work.MOREOVER, I caught one thing:If NAME* field contains EVEN 1 non-english letter (other fields seem can contain it!) - IMPORT DOESN'T WORK!DEVELOPERS! One easy question please:How can I show in FRONT-STORE product's name in language that's not english??? (When Importing list)
