Background color issue with css

Hi!

I use the minimalist theme, but when the page isn't "long" enough, it creates a white space in the bottom of the page.
I tried to change the css line that defines the color, but it also changes the background color of the main window.

This was the line I tried to change:

* {padding:0; margin:0; background:white; height:auto; font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; color:#6A5D4A; list-style:none}

Any ideas is appreciated
