Private message to customer

Hello,

I would like to send  private messages to customers from Order Detail but it's seems that the mail it's not being sent. After I click on Send Message appear the message "Comment successfully added." but the email not arrive to the customer.

The email settings it's set up on "Advanced Parameters" -> "Emails", and the customers receive emails on status changes. But it's seems that in Private Message case it's not working. 

I missed to configure something ?
