curtdonohue
Greetings,I'm having a tax discount problem with my site, Western Slope Living (http://www.westernslopeliving.com/store/).I also have another website, http://www.montrosedayspa.com/prestashop/, that has the same settings but does not have the tax discount problem.Background:1. I was using v1.3.1 and just updated to 1.3.2.3. The update did not change the behavior of http://www.westernslopeliving.com/store/ that I'm having trouble with.2. I have a tax setup for the State of Colorado in the amount of 2.9% that is to be applied only to Colorado Residents. No one else has to pay tax.3. I only want the tax to show up in the cart, not in the product pricing. Here is what should happen, and does with http://www.montrosedayspa.com/prestashop/:1. If you do not log in, the product pricing is correct2. If you log in as a Colorado resident, tax will be charged, but only in the shopping cart on the tax line. Product pricing does not change outside of the cart3. If you log in and you are not from Colorado, no tax will be charged. Product pricing does not change outside of the cart4. Under all scenarios above, the product pricing does not changeHere is what is happening with my site http://www.westernslopeliving.com/store/1. If you do not log in, the product pricing is correct2. If you log in as a Colorado resident, there appears to be a tax discount that is applied making the product pricing incorrect. Tax is then charged in the cart, which brings the price up to where is should have started. Thus, I'm short on tax.3. If you log in and you are not from Colorado, no tax will be charged. Product pricing does not change outside of the cart4. Under the scenarios above, product pricing in the store (before it gets to the cart) is adjusted when I log in as a Colorado resident. Otherwise, the product pricing does not change.I've double checked all the settings between the sites and I can't find any differences, but obviously something is wrong. Any ideas? Thanks!Curt Donohue
curtdonohue
After a bit more research, I'm finding that I have a difference between two categories on the http://www.westernslopeliving.com/store/ site. When I log in as a Colorado resident, all of my jams and jellies appear to take a tax discount. My syrups, however to not take a tax discount, which indicates that it is a category level or product level issue. I've put up admin screens from my site that does work and check the setting I could think of to check against this site. I can't find any settings that are different, but they must be.Any suggestions?
curtdonohue
One other thing I noticed is that my all of my products are combinations and the products that I created using the combination generator work just fine. The products where I created the combos manually do not work and take a tax discount if you are from Colorado. Why would products created by the generator behave differently with respect to tax?
