Store Default Currecy not changing from € to $ after i have tried to change from admin

Please how do i change the default store currency from euro to dollars, i have tried to change it in the modules and still not changing in the main store. kindly help

Did you ever solve this problem? Assuming you changed the default currency under "Payment>Currencies" I had to go in and clear my browswer cache in order to get it to display in my front office/storefront. Before I did that, it was properly displaying dollars in the back office, but still euros in the storefront.

I had the same problem, I only wanted to use £ so I made this the default currency, disabled the other currencies and didn't show the currency block but the front-end was still showing Euro for all the prices.
I solved it by re-enabling the currencies, showing the currency block, selecting £ in the frontend then disabling all again and now it's showing correctly as £.

So I think you're correct, it probably is a browser cache problem - I just went around the houses, (and back again)! to solve it :red:
