show only subcategories in the blockcategories

hi.

Is it possible to show only the subcategories in the menu.

Currently I have the Categories

Men
 -trousers
 -shoes
    - running
    - football
 -shirts
    - cotton
    -  longsleeves

So when I open the category "shoes" in the menu only the categories "running" and "football" should be visible.
Category "Men" shows only "trousers", "shoes", and "shirts".
