[SOLVED] no carriers showing *yes I've searched*

ok I know there are tons of articles here about this. Sadly, either most of the are unanswered, or don't have the resolve I'm looking for.


When I setup the shop, the "carrier" that it came with worked fine. When I added my own carrier, it does no show up.

things I've tried:
- changing products
- added settings to the Weight and pricing
- different product weights
- checked to make sure the product is enabled
- the problem exists on two different shops
- Under the carrier setting, added the county "zone"


Now on the selected zones don't stay selected. if I go into carrier settings, and select ie Europe and US, I click save, it says it was successful but doesn't stay selected. Now this only happens with one shop, and happened after attempting to install a UPS module so I have to assume it's from that and there is probably some misc code in the database.

Sounds like the module you installed does not work. Have you searched for other users experiencing the same problem with this module - or perhaps tried to contact whoever made the module?
What module is it, and which version of PrestaShop do you have?

The reason why a lot of questions do not get answered, I believe is due to the simple fact that the poster does not supply sufficient information in order for people to easily have a look at the problem and perhaps help without having to spend tons of time investigating themselves.

I have the "latest version" just downloaded it and installed it about 2 weeks ago.



I will say, I believe I won't have a problem solving the module issue, and the module was installed as a work around for the carrier problem, so they are two separate issues, sorry if I wasn't clear about that.

not sure if this helps. But on the second store, where the carrier was working, which was the one used as an example when you install the program, I just changed the name, and changed to no tax, and it's no longer showing up as a carrier on check out. I'm going to attempt to change the name back and add the tax back and see what happens.

Actually, maybe my whole point is moot. I don't see a way to charge for shipping. Maybe there is UPS module for this? where I live in California we use UPS and Fedex. Is it better just to install the modules for this?

Sorry, I don't use UPS, as we don't really use them here in Denmark. I did a quick search and it seems that the easiest is to used a ready made module since it automatically figures out the price based on weight or price.

Have you seen this? http://www.prestashop.com/forums/viewthread/70254/third_party_modules/problem_in_ups_shipping_module - I can only recommend the modules from Presto-changeo.com, they are always very high standard as far as I've seen.

It is possible to set up your own carriers (either by weight or price). Have a look at the wiki:

I GOT IT! One problem fixed the other. For some reason, it won't let me have $0.00 in the shipping charge, as soon as I changed it, it all worked. so mission complete I guess.


In retrospect anybody reading this under "solved" my mistake, I knew I had already made, I didn't check EVERY page I assumed settings.
