Adding categories to the top horizontal menu (not sub categories)

Hello,

I'm new to Prestashop and would like my top horizontal menu items to link to categories (not sub categories).

How do I add new categories and get them to link to these menu items (home, new products, headbands, hair pins, bridal, kids)?

Have you got a top menu module or have you coded the menu into your header ?

If so you can download a module like the one linked in this post that allows you to add categorys, and define how deep it goes in terms of subcategory's etc...
