Integration with EPOS system

Hi

I'm designing a website for a shop using prestashop which I love !

I have nonetheless a few questions:

This shop has hundreds of products. Obviously , I want to avoid the cumbersome task of entering the products details one by one.

1) How do I export the data from the EPOS system , amend it so it is compatible with the prestashop database and then populate the prestashop database with it ? I've heard about xml export/imports but I must say it's all new for me.

2) Is there any solutions available to automate the process?

3)What about Kassanova ? Is it another EPOS system? Was I to use it , would I have to change the EPOS system used in the shop to Kassanova or can it be used together with the existing EPOS?
