A question regarding conversion and seo

1) Which selling software does Amazon use? is it possible to make a website which has a very similar if not identical template as Amazon.com using prestashop?

2) I also am having difficulty understanding, H1 H2 H3 headings. I want to edit for each separate product as it increases seo but i dont know how to access it? I have made changes in meta title, description etc for each product.

I'm pretty sure Amazon uses a custom backend, you can make Prestashop look a bit like Amazon with a lot of work. But it all depends on what you want to do with the shop and what functionality you want. Do you only like your shop to look like Amazon or do you also want to have ten thousands of products of different manufacturers and separate sellers within your shop?

Did you take a look at the product.tpl in your theme folder? There you can edit which variables go to the H1 etc on your product page.

Thanks for the reply.
What I mean by similarity is the theme. Each page is long and each section of the page has many different functions. Basically the longer the page, the longer people would spend on it. As a result the website would receive higher rankings. Amazon also use techniques to ensure you check other pages. as a result the more pages/views a website gets the higher the rankings for those queries.

Please help meI want to make a theme which looks like the example below. how can i find the modules? do you know any etc.


1.picture of the product with model name, price and dispatch date
2. products details; weight, boxed, delivery destination, model no, customer rating
3. images of different products- customers who brought this also brought....
4 awards for the products if any, this would be image or text
5 product long description
6 cross selling- customers who viewed this product also viewed ......
7 customer review with stars showing the amount of stars given for each review. then the reviews below the starring
8 customers who viewed this also viewed....
9 customer discussions
10 similar items by category
11 view history, customers who brought items in your recent history also brought...... images

12 links of the website i.e. faq's etc

13 logos of brands sold.
