404 errors

Hi Folks

Can anyone identify what the problem is that I have please?

I have lots of 404 errors in my 'Pages not found' in the Back Office

eg: Referer: www.bluemooncelebrations.com/halloween-masks/332-saw-pig-mask.html

Page: /halloween-masks/


When I try the same URL I have no problem though??

Any help would be appreciated

Well, I must say that I too had been having the same exact problems for quite some time now and I really did not know what to do under those circumstances other than to post my queries and worries in forum posts like this. However, the epiphany of the whole 401 issue came to me as an end result at last and I got the problem solved by myself. All you have to do is click the reload button (next to the address bar) and I give you the insurance that things will work exactly fine!

I think you misunderstand,

I do not get any errors

it seems to be my visitors that get them

but thankyou anyway.

If you're talking about 401 HTTP codes, per W3C "10.4.2 401 Unauthorized The request requires user authentication". Page not found are usually known as 404 errors. Are you getting 401 or 404 errors?

I delete hundreds of them every day!

This is the same thing for me.

But i think that it's false 404 errors because on the FO the customers don't see the error...
