[SOLVED]PayPal currency rate problem

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I have 3 currencies in my website (EUR, USD, GBP). Then I change currency from front-office, everything works fine. Products prices changes regarding my conversion rates. Problem is that, when I reach payment page and for example have cart of 90EUR, in paypal page I have same cart with total of 90USD. There is now currency conversion at all in checkout process.
My default currency in shop is USD. In Currencies restrictions I choose USD too. But why Paypal not converting from GBP, EUR to real amount of USD regarding conversion rates? At the moment paypal only changing symbol of currency to USD without any conversion.

Any advice will be appreciated!

Thank for all in advance!

Presta 1.3.1
Paypal 1.6

As I said mate, my problem gone after I re-upload files.
What version of Presta and PayPal do you use?

At the moment I am using newest Presta and PayPal 1.7. Everything works fine :)
In newest PayPal version there is bug with too much records in some database tables.

default currency on my paypal acc is USD. i don't have any info in paypal module..

In order to use your PayPal payment module, you have to configure your PayPal account (sandbox account as well as live account). Log in to PayPal and follow these instructions.

In My account > Profile > Website Payment Preferences, set:
- Auto Return : Off,
- Payment Data Transfer to Off.

In My account > Profile > Shipping Calculations
- check Click here to allow transaction-based shipping values to override the profile shipping settings listed above

All PrestaShop currencies must be also configured inside Profile > Financial Information > Currency balances

All these settings are the same with what I had in my Paypal account. The problem is that Paypal doesn't support the currency for my country. But this is not an issue, the issue is that after the client checkout USD remains as default currency for the website..

As you said, u are using PayPal 2.0 version.
Please, write in details all your checkout process. For example:
1) When u start checkout process, which currency do u choose
2) What total amount of cash is in cart
3) When website redirects u to PayPal, what currency do you see in cart and total amount
4) Any other important details

I will check that on my shop and maybe we will report bug

Thank you in advance

Here we go:
First of all I configured in Currency Restrictions - PayPal = Only USD
There's no difference if in the cart are $5 or $1000.
When PayPal redirects me I see USD
When I go back to site default currency is $, and I have to delete it and create it again.
