Can cart option be turned off - help please

Hi all, quick one I want to build a information site on plants so basicaly it would be ideal to have a site which looks very simular to prestashop ie catorgories, product pages, cms pages (which would be how to pages) etc.

Does anyone no if this can be done or a open souce software which you may think might be what im looking for.

Thanks, help will this is apprioated as iv not found something suitable yet as I dont want it to be like a blog.

This question has been asked and answered many times on the forums. Uninstall the cart block and modify your code to remove the "Add to cart" buttons. See my post here.
