html suggestions

Hi all I have got webmaster tools and have looked at the html sugestions and have the following problem. I am using v1.2.5.0

Duplicate meta descriptions - 1751
Short meta descriptions - 762

Duplicate title tags - 1870

Does anyone now how I can overcome this, I have looked through the forium and read loads on this but not sure if I have the same problem as there a varous modules which I may try.

Up to now I have turned on 'Canonical URL v1.3', (Improve SEO by avoiding the "duplicate content" status for your Website.) the original one I had installed just brough up errors and would not install so I added one which I downloaded and that installed fine.

I have also installed 'CROLL SEO Fixer v1.2' (Redirects wrong product and category URLs to valid URL to avoid duplicate content)

Up to now I have installed these two modules, my site has not been reindexed yet so dont no if this has made any different. Does anyone now if I need these modules and if they will solve my problems.

I have also found a discusion which has 'Canonical Category URLs v1.0' on which may be what I need which is made by Verdious-Wardrobe.dk but I dont want to start installed loads of modules.

Any help really appriated here. Thanks

Hi John,
if you have about 1800 titles and meta descriptions which do not differ the modules may not work for you. Without having a look at your shop it is hard to diagnose how serious the problem is.

Well, I had also the same problem until I figured out a way to surpass it. If you do not know or have no clue what to do here, then I guess you will be pretty much stuck here until someone gives you the exact way to get the insurance for making things work again normally. I think the first and foremost thing that you need to do is to have a serious and thorough look at the shop which you are having!

Hi All....Google shows me in webmaster tools Pages with duplicate Meta descriptions, 1 example is, 2 url's 1 of my site and another 1 from froogle but with the same meta description because it's actually the same page, How do I take care of this issue?..Help :exclaim:
