rocky
Did you make a backup of your database? You will need to restore the ps_image and ps_image_lang tables to link the products to the images. PrestaShop doesn't have an option to scan the image directory to add images to products. justdogwalking.com
Thanks for your suggestion,However, it was a clean install with no old database. (Wamp & PC setup to get to know and learn Prestashop)My issue is that the Prestashop's own images, graphics and dummy products pictures are not being displayed. This first happened in my first play with Prestashop - it was working fine - then all the graphics and images disappeared so I deleted everything and have been trying to get a new clean install - so far without success.Any further thoughts would be much appreceated. SupplementalI have just tried 2 completely new installations of Prestashop on Wamp and still no prestashop graphics or images of Ipods etc. Including a new presashop download.I have noticed that on the settings verification screen there are no tick or X icons also on the Dbase configuration screen the "verify" button is not visible - but if I click in its vicinity I get the message "database is connected" and the installation continues. so it seems the images are not functional at the installation level?Regards

justdogwalking.com
Hi After two days and at least a dozen clean reloads I seem to have bottomed the problem out. There seems to be a problem with the lates version of Mozilla/firefox and WAMP.I just did not expect this so it took so long to find. Changed Wamp's preferred browser from Mozilla to IE and everything works- albeit not as slickly as Mozilla did.
