[SOLVED] admin page loops on login

Recommended Posts

Just to summarize, I had the problem that logging into the admin page returned me to the login page

login.php?redirect=index.php

it didn't matter if I restored the DB from backup or anything it just looped around without an error message.

I had this problem with firefox and chrome, but when I tried seamonkey then it worked.

solution is to try other browsers, could be a problem with the number of cookies in that this turned up first after 6 months.

Hello,

I have everything install on my local drive. The store appears beautifully, but when I go to the admin page it state the following:

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

For security reasons, you cannot connect to the Back Office until after you have:

- deleted the /install folder – renamed the /admin folder (eg. /admin524)

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I did exactly that; I deleted the install folder, as well as rename the admin fold, but no dice. I don’t get errors. All I get is a blank browser. Oh I’m using safari and I tried using firefox and chrome, still the same issue.

PLEASE HELP!

Thank you,
Nick

I'm having the same issue. Installed upgrade just fine. But now when I go to login to the admin panel, it will just refresh back with the login screen again. However, if I enter the incorrect login information, it will refresh to the login screen with an error. With the correct login information there's just the refresh with no errors.

Tried it in Safari and Firefox. No difference.

Any help?

I'm having the exact same problem as Billy Covington here... I figure I may as well bump this... This seems to be ''Solved'' though so I'm a bit confused
