carloalberto Posted September 18, 2010 Share Posted September 18, 2010 Hi everybody! i am using prestashop since 2 years, time to upgrade.I am upgrading from 1.1.0.5 to 1.3.1I am having a problem that i cannot solve:ERROR MESSAGE:The config/settings.inc.php file was not found. Did you delete or rename this file?See picture attached.but i did follow the wiki instruction:http://www.prestashop.com/wiki/Installing_And_Updating_PrestaShop_Software/and i did copy/replaced the old config in the new config folderPLEASE HELP.....CiaoCarlo Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Posted September 22, 2010 Share Posted September 22, 2010 Hi.I haven't done this upgrade yet... so please take my advice with a grain of salt.But from my understanding, you need to use the new config file to setup your new PS... then you copy over your old config files (settings) once the installation is complete.It seems like you copied the config files before starting the installation... that is why you are getting that error during the installation process. The image from above is from the installation process... so you should let the PS install run it's course without modifying, replacing, or changing any files, and then once this is complete you then port over your old settings and config files to use on the new setup.Like I said I am fairly unfamiliar with the upgrade process, so chances are I probably missed something here. So I just hope this helps in some way... and if there are any mistakes in my logic please do correct me.HTH! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
