Loyalty System with Customer Group

I would like to update the customer's group no when their loyalty point reaches a certain number.

is ok for hard coding inside loyalty module.

what is the command to get the value after a sql excution in module?


select points from loyalty where id_customer = '1';

i try to get value. it gave me 0
getvalue["points"] ?
