Downloads based on Attributes

I think I seen someone else ask this question, but is there a 3rd party extension or even official plans to incorporate Attribute based digital downloads to Prestashop?

For example - If I have software I wish to sell via the shop, currently I have to add 4 versions of the same product to cater for Mac, PC Linux etc.

It would be better to have just one product, and the user selects there platform and the digital download is automatically selected.

I enjoyed this feature in X-Cart before I moved to using Prestashop and regretting the decision as our business has moved to digital distribution over the past year and a half.

Any suggestions welcome!
