404 page on category URL when enable friendly URL

Hello everyone,

I've upgraded to version 1.6.1.18 and I realised the top navigation urls are broken when I enable the feature Friendly URL. Basically, all the category pages show a 404 but if I click directly to the product everything is fine.

I did already quite a lot of research and I could not find a working solution.

Any idea is much appreciated.

I have the same problem. Two days upgraded to version 1.6.1.18, but products page doesn't work to. It shows that product doesn't exist. I have tried almost everything.

I don't really want to roll back to the previous version.

I've managed to find a solution by myself. After days of looking into it.
Under Preferences: SEO &URLS > Redirect to the canonical URL > I've selected the option to No Redirection and fixed the problem.
Nobody did try to help in any way. No wonder Prestashop is not the first option for many business owners, despite the fact it's on business for over 10 years.

I have a similar issue. Have tried this solution but not works for me. Anyone has new ideas?
