zake black
Hi all,New to presta shop, on the whole brilliant very easy to not only install but to use and config, but then you all know this already! I do have a question tho..If i have an item that has say 3 diferent sizes available. say small, medium and large. Im setting the actual price of the item to the small size, and then using atributes for the other sizes. so small makes no difference prine, medium increases by say £10 and then large by £20I have the large size as default, as im greedy and want people to buy the large however because im greedy but want to entice people in.. i want the price shown in the list items to be that of the small size.. is that possible? as i the way i have it set. the list view shows that of the large, the default size? Many thanksAndy
nerdygurl
Heya you sure can, you can pick which attribute (saying large being the one you want to be first visable) is your default then it will give you the large then medium, small etc and you can include price variations in the same section in which you create your attribute if that makes sense?? Sorry it quite late here but hopefully you understand what i mean.hope this helps some what, cheers
nerdygurl
Just read thats what you were meaning you have set it up as sorry, so you want to misrepresent the price? by giving the large the small price in the lists??? im confused i think i need sleep but if that is what you mean i dont think you can and i think it would be wrong to do that to a potential customer. Ok in the list view i want the price to be displayed as the lowest price. For example prices from 34.99Now i do 3 sizes the larger being the most popular, i want the product to default to the large as this is what most of customers want. however i dont want to put those off that want a smaller item at less value. aside from having multiple items for each size i dont know how else to do it? apart from default being lowest price??Hope this make sense.. im not trying to decieve anyone trying to cover both markets with out alienating or losing customers.thanksAndy
nerdygurl
hai - If you go into your Global CSS you will find all the link colours nearer the bottom of the code. zack black - I would say just make the default the small so you have the lowest price otherwise you may need to alter the arrays to give you the lowest price attribute first specific to that drop down list? zake black
hai - If you go into your Global CSS you will find all the link colours nearer the bottom of the code. zack black - I would say just make the default the small so you have the lowest price otherwise you may need to alter the arrays to give you the lowest price attribute first specific to that drop down list? Well the problem was that if people did not select a size it would default to the small.. problem being i have no way of telling if they want a small or just failed to select a size. which means 1. they dont get what they want and 2. i then have to have that returned and then reship. which costs me more money.I have got round the problem by doing the following.the 3 sizes small, medium and large and i added a fourth size titled "please select" set as default if an order comes through with the size please select, then i know the customer has not chosen a size and to make contact with them before i ship to clarify exactly what that want.. I get the lowest price displayed so not to put people off by the high price of large items, and i get to identify those purchases that have not actually selected a size.I did at first set the please select option to zero stock count, however you get the msg display This item with these attributes is not available please choose another.. although i understood that it menat i need to select size it might be confusing to others. so set the please select option with a stock qty so it would work but allow me to identify it.thanks andy
