shipping not right after upgrading from 1.2.0.8 to 1.3

I upgraded from 1.2.0.8 to 1.3 and everything seemed to update fine.

however, when I went to do a test buy the shipping no longer computes correctly.

I use a simple system, up to 1 oz is $1.50, 1.1oz to 2 is $2.00 etc. I use the same pricing for all countries and use USPS First Class as the only carrier.

in looking at the shipping section, everything looks the same as the old one but it doesn't work right. does anyone have any ideas or did anyone else have problems when upgrading? thank you.

there is a bug in this new cart.

I completed wiped out all shipping and started over from scratch. every time I added a new shipping weight, I added another product to my cart to be sure it was figuring it right (all of my items weigh the same amount, 1 oz each).

it worked fine. added 5 items, each increment figured the shipping correctly. THEN I started removing items from my shopping cart. I have my shipping set up so it never goes over $4. but as I removed items from my cart, the shipping stayed at $4. even when I removed all but 1 item, it still showed $4.

so then I deleted the last item so the shopping cart was empty and then added one item. before it worked right showing $1.50 for one item but after removing all items and adding back one, the shipping was figured at the highest rate which is $4. so somehow it still sees the total weight of the cart even with the missing items.

can this be caused by a theme? I am going to switch to the default theme and see what happens.

ok, switching to the default prestashop theme did not cure this. the shopping cart still does not work right.

I used 1.2.0.8 for over a year with never a problem

is there some kind of setting that may have gotten changed in the upgrade that I need to check? thank you for any insights. I hate to try to de-grade to 1.2.0.8 but I can't use this cart if the shipping isn't correct

I tried logging out and then logging back in and the item was still in the cart and the shipping charge was still incorrect.

have it working now.

I had to completely delete all weight ranges, change the weight under localization, change the free shipping tiers just to give them a different amount and then rebuild it. once I did that, it worked.

beware if upgrading to test to be sure your shipping converted right.
