[Solved] PHP/FastCGI : Error when applying changes in Admin panel

Hi Prestashop Users,

Had a fairly successful install but cannot seem to apply any changes made in the admin back-end without running into the following error as soon as I apply anything (for instance applying a new theme):

PHP_FCGI_CHILDREN=6 export PHP_FCGI_CHILDREN PHP_FCGI_MAX_REQUESTS=500 export PHP_FCGI_MAX_REQUESTS exec /hsphere/shared/php5/bin/php-cgi

My host, who is very helpful hasn't been able to shed any light on this but has assured me that the correct version of PHP5 is installed on my server, you can view the test store at - www.thebittertruth.com (just a testing domain).

No-one can identify this error? Just need to know if's install related or something server side with my host?

My host had the following to say on the matter:

'It could be a compatibility problem with PHP5 when running in FastCGI. The developers would probably know better than us though.'

Can someone please help with this or offer any advice on the next step? Otherwise what are these forums for??

These forums are useless!

It's really too bad as it provides a key element to the whole concept of Open Source!...I guess Prestashop is now out as a cart option for me....

Did you make a search on the forum with the "FastCGI" keyword?

I can confirm that my host had to write some script on their end to correct an incompatiblity between PHP5 adn FastCGI. The store now works..
