Block visitors by country - The best solution??

My customers wants to make it possible for only Norway IP numbers to visit his shops,
and the other ones he want to redirect to a specific page.

I've found this website that works great ( http://www.blockacountry.com ).

There is only 1 problem. Since i add all countries (except Norway) from the list to the
.htaccess file it its pretty large.. 2,18 Mb.. and it has 86 000 lines of code

I think this slows down the loading speed of the website pretty much, right?

Is there any better solution? Please help me out here :-).

I dont understand anything about .htaccess, but If anyone know how to change the code so it will not be so many lines, I would be happy

Why don't you try to allow only Ip from Norway and block the other ones
something like that:

Order Deny,Allow
Allow from 1.2.3.4
Deny from all

I have think about it, but I cant trust the list that is listed on http://www.blockacountry.com.

What if there is a new internet provider with a new IP adress that is not listed in that list? Then he cant visit my store, right?

Or am I wrong now?
