sinoland
Hello,Is it possible to edit language file on local Windows-based PC? I've exported and unzipped the language file with gzip.exe. After editing the decompressed file with Dreamweaver (UTF-8), I got the error message "archive cannot be extracted" while importing the file. If I import the decompressed file without any editing, the import is ok.Please help. Thank you.Regards,Mr. Tsang
sinoland
Found the solutions. The gzip.exe only extracts language.gzip into a single file. In fact , a typical language.gzip file contains about 173 files in 112 folders. The files are php, txt or html files. After using right software (AlphaZIP), the files and folders are correctly decompressed. Then you can edit/translate the files as much as you wish on local PC.Finally, compress the folders (mails, modules, themes and translations) in tar.gz format and import it.
