Product does not display as sold - black&white;theme

hi everyone,

Ive been stuck on this all day...

im trying to make a product show as sold when its sold… im using the blackwhite theme and right now the add to cart button just doesnt show on the product page and i think that’ll be confusing to customers, also on my featured products section once the item is sold 'add to cart' (text not the button) comes up under the description- no idea why.

I see that i probly need to edit the product.tpl file but i dont know what changes to make.

also i cant download the tpl files from my control pannel because they download as tpl.html then they wont open properly in text edit. i use a mac.

if someone could attach the file i need to change to a post then i can use it.
