[SOLVED] Change Product Display Order

HI

Can anyone let me know thanks, how to change the order that the products are displayed on a page. I would like the order to be as i want it. It seems to be that the order is the last added product etc

Go to Preferences > Products and change "Default order by" to "Position inside category" and "Default order way" to "Ascending". You can then go to the Catalog tab and use the arrows in the "Position" column in the products table at the bottom to choose the order of the products. Click an arrow to move a product by one position or click and drag the area behind the arrow to move a product multiple places.

Having the same issue, position not available in latest versions 1.6x - is there an optional free module to make this work??

 

Need to change the product positions in the back-end for easier editing and have it reflected in the front end...

Found it!

 

Catalogue > Products > Filter By Category

 

This brings up the "drag icon" and position option next to products now!

There is one more step you need to take after you proceed with the above modifications:

Go to -> Modules -> Layered navigation block -> Configuration -> Show products from subcategories -> Set to NO

After this, the ordere you had set in admin will be displayed in frontoffice!
