Spark
Hi there,Would like to check whether is it possible to upgrade from the version to the latest without any issue? Recently i notice that my catalog has lost some of the feature and i believe I have to upgrade to solve the issue. However when i download the package, i notice that the installation will be a brand new which i will lost all my links from the URLs that i create as well as the shipping format. Would like to check whether is there any that we can upgrade it without messing shipping format / URLs? Appreciate anyone can help me out. Thank you.Regards,Spark
jhnstcks
If the upgrade is done correctly you wont loose anything from your site, including the shipping, firndly url or anything else. This is because the database is onloy updated with new fields etc, but the existing data isnt lost.If you are unsure if it will work correctly, my advice would be to to a full backup of your store and create a second store, using the backup in a different folder and do the upgrade on that first. This way you will see if theres any problems upgrading without comprimising your live shop.
Spark
Hi,Thanks for your help but te problem is that I can't really export the whole Database out (I am not sure why but it's happening to my store. It's doesn't really look good.)From what you mentioned, I can actually cut and copy the files into the site (Upgrading) without much changing.Am i right to say that?Appreciate your help. Thank you. jhnstcks
Yes you could, but you will need to update the database aswell.Be warned though, this isnt how upgrades should be done.
