Category entries have vanished

I am slightly confused.

My client has been entering products in her shop.

I have not made any changes, i had a look just now and all the menu / category entries are gone.
She has not deleted them, or made any changes in the shop.

Is there a way that I can track back what might have happened?
Some sort of logbook maybe?

I just had the same thing happen in version 1.3.1. So what happened with you? Did you find the reason? Please help. My client did the following:

Taken from client email:

My employee added some new items to a new category called (Example) and (Example2). I wanted those items to be hidden and not appear under the new items until I reviewed them. Disabling the category didn't seem to work. So I figured I had to go into each one and disable it. I noticed the Select All button and selected it for the (Example2) category. Then I tried selecting the option for Displayed to say No for all. It didn't seem to work so I manually disabled all. Maybe that did it? I only tried to do it in that category though - not all categories...

Whatever I did worked because the items in that new category stopped appearing under new items. After I did this I didn't notice if the categories disappeared though...


It probably did do something, though...
