PrestaDesigner10
Hello, I'm trying to update my prestashop version (from 1.7.2.4 to 1.7.3) via 1-Click Upgrade Module. The process seems to stuck on database update. I'm waiting for an hour. What do you think the problem is? Thank you. wutever0
I'm facing the same issue. My upgrade is from 1.7.2.5 to 1.7.
Joey
I got the same problem too, but when I switched to BO in another browser, all working normally in BO and Front Office, and the version stated is 1.7.3. in server information. So is this upgrade successfully and I can using this? or I need to rollback?
tantan199
Maybe you could try upgrade your site manually, I've successfully upgrade several sites manually from 1.7.2.4 to 1.7.3, not using the 1-click upgrade module. I've created a tutorial on my blog to explain how to do that. https://www.sunnytoo.com/6996/manually-upgrade-prestashop Manually upgrading a site is quite easily, not as hard as it sounds like.

Everything does seem to be smooth so I assume it was a matter of the upgrader not notifying of successful end. Still.. should be looked into by the module developers. I think manual installation would be way too much effort and it is not supported by prestashop.

Hello I am trying to upgrade from 1.7.3.3 to 1.7.4.0 i have a question about uploading the zip file. in your blog you said - Zip everything in the /new/ folder, upload the .zip file to your site’s root folder, and then unzip it. do i override the old files? tantan199
@prcwest Yes, override the old files. The most important thing is that backup your site files and database before every upgrade. But I don't suggest you upgrade to 1.7.4.0, wait for 1.7.4.

Hello, All Use latest version module PrestaShop 1-Click Upgrade it's work for me. http://forge.prestashop.com/browse/BOOM-5928 autoupgrade-v4.0.0-beta.3 autoupgrade-v4.0.0-beta.3_(1).zip
veldepatrick
Had the same problem, searched all the fora, no solution that worked. At the end I did manual upgrade like posted above. That worked without problems. Just for everybody who is stuck at "unzip your file" on filezilla, you can use this: https://abdulawal.com/how-to-extract-zip-files-easily-on-web-server/ The alternative is just upload all files 1 by 1 and overwrite the existing files on server. But takes (too) much time. Update: I did encounter 1 problem which wasn't there before the manual upgrade. When you put product in cart and get popup window, the ' continue shopping' button doesn't work, also you cannot exit the popup window. Does anybody else have this after manual upgrade? Or does somebody know how to fix? I rather stick with 1-click-upgrade, but what to do if it doesn't work and no support? PrestaPro LTD
If you have bad luck with upgrading your PrestaShop store, you can use our module, it may be a little expensive, but it's worth it.1-Click Upgrade or Migrate module allows you to upgrade your store to the latest version of PrestaShop 1.7. To do this, you need to create a second store, a web key and start the import. After transferring data, you can delete the old store or swap them. It will work with PrestaShop 1.4, 1.5, 1.6 https://addons.prestashop.com/en/data-migration-backup/29736-1-click-prestashop-upgrade-16-to-17.html We will also help, with our module, if the update for some reason will not work. Ask any questions, I will answer them with pleasure.
Samantha18
you can get another tool instead of 1-click upgrade, like LitExtension they are also developer cooperating with Prestashop. Here is the module https://addons.prestashop.com/en/data-migration-backup/28246-litextension-prestashop-to-prestashop-migration.html Or you can get a better price at https://bit.ly/2KmhTc5 It is as easy to use as 1-click upgrade. You can try it for free.

The developer simply copied the cart2cart service. Its modules do not have a rating, any awards or badges, I would not trust it. Since the migration process is a complicated procedure and the main thing is support. You can not do good support with a low price.

Please don't judge anything when you don't know it yet. The free demo is totally free, you can run unlimited times. You can use their test store as target cart (free as well). The data migration will not impact anything on your old site. It can run normally and collect new data. You can try the Litextension support available on the live chat if you like
