Publish site without /prestashop/

Hi,

I have installed my shop on xxxxx.com/prestashop/ (it's only visible on xxxxx.com/prestashop/ and now I would like to put the shop live on xxxxx.com, what is the best way to do this ?

I know that I for instance could put the index.php in the root folder and add /prestashop/ in the path, but I would prefer /prestashop/ didn't get shown in the URL at all.

You can put all files from /prestashop/ into the root directory and update the config/settings.inc.php to reflect the changes. Also remember to rename the root directory index.html into some other name like oldindex.html incase you decided to use it later.

When I did this, I had a totally blank site. After searching, I found the problem came from a "lost" .htacces file at root and incorrect chmod (should be 777 on .htaccess.
