Configure the cart and check out process - converting payments into estimates

Seems that prestashop cannot be used as a catalogue/menu system with a checkout option.

As it desireable to remove the price and costings functionality.

It seems i will need to manually pull out all references to costings?

or is there a way to use prestashop as a catalogue?
