Manufacturer name: multiple languages support

Hello,

When editing manufacturer, short and long descriptions support multiple languages but 'name' not. How can we make it supporting multiple languages?

Maybe because it is very unusual for a manufacturer's name to change with the language. There is not a short way to do the change you want. It would require changes to core files and the database table. I am sure someone would be willing to affect this change for you but take into account that updates will be nightmare if your installation is customized in this way. Maybe you may want to add a request for it. If there are examples of manufacturer names that change with the language used, that is not an unreasonable request.
