why table ps_tag is self truncating ?

can anybody help ?

i'm buliding a site for selling movie posters with 1.6.1 version

i have populated the ps_tag table using a php script

for instance :

id_tag=1, id_lang=1, name="western", id_tag=2, lang=1, name="comedy", id_tag=3, lang=1, name="adventure" and so on ...

after doing this, i can see the tags listed in the Tags section of the Catalog menu in the back-end

however, when i add the tag "western" on a product through the back-end , the table ps_tag is truncated and the records previously entered are erased
