How to add html code to display images on either side of the Default Home Page?

Dear all,

I'm trying to add a Facebook Like Box, Paypal Verified Logo, Join us at Twitter images on either the left or right hand side of the home page.

The module "freeblock" doesn't work because it creates a border around the html code I place.

Are there any ways to add these images (from control panel, or editing the template, etc)?

You can use the freeblock module and change the css style to remove the border

I was wondering how you did it on your website with the image and the text above it (for example, "SSL Security" followed by image which is linked. I really love the text with picture combination!

Well I've directly modified the blockpaymentlogo.tpl file of the paymentlogo module as well as the global.css file.
