Can prestashop give member discount in this way?

Recommended Posts

Hi, I want to do a member discount in my web shop
the discount go this way

10% off every items for member discount
25% off every items if that is member birthday month

If a customer spend min $30 on a single receipt, they get 20% off next purchase
If customer spend $100 on a single receipt, they get 35% off next purchase.

I believe prestashop will be able to detect member when they have sign up. But will prestashop be able to
automatically give 10% off for the item they purchase?

and in their birthday month, they automatically get 15% off?
Also for the min order in single receipt, can they go accordingly to my requirement?

If the following step can be achieve, please advise me the step to do so, thank you

Do you have members in a separate customer group or are they all in the default customer group? If you want only a subset of your customers to get 10% off their orders, go to Customers > Groups and create a separate customer group, then edit each customer you want to give the 10% discount and put them in that group. Then edit the customer group and enter "10%" as the reduction.

You can't automatically give a customer a discount on their birthday, but you can generate a 15% discount voucher on their birthday. Install the "Birthday Present v1.0" module, go the configuration page and enter "15" in the "Value" field as the "Discount on order (%)". You can also specify a minimum amount that the customer must buy. On the customer's birthday, they will get a 15% discount voucher they can use on their order. Be careful though, since it is possible for a customer to repeatedly change their birthday to get one 15% discount vouchers every day.

As far as I know, PrestaShop can't do that stuff automatically. It does have a loyalty rewards program, but it just gives people points for their purchases.

What you can do is personally give them a coupon code for these things that is tied to their individual account, and have the coupon limitless and without an expiration date, or have it expire when their membership is supposed to expire. Then, you could have them just put the coupon code in each time. I doubt that it would make it too hard for them to check their e-mail for the code if it saves them 10%+ off the order.

What you would have to do is go to:
Payment --> Vouchers --> Add New
And then create the voucher and then just e-mail the customer with the voucher/coupon number. Make sure to make it so only that one customer can use that coupon code, or else everyone could get to use the coupon.

You could do the same with the 20%, 25%, and 35% off coupons, but just make sure that you don't give someone a 35% off coupon that they can use on every order or a 20% off coupon that anyone can use.

I hope this helps!

EDIT:
It looks like Rocky beat me to the punch.

Anyways, his way works, and it looks like it is a lot easier than mine, but mine could work better for the Birthday Present add-on, as people wouldn't be able to fake out the coupon system unless if you didn't keep track of birthdays.
