Max_77 Posted August 26, 2010 Share Posted August 26, 2010 Hello!I should migrate database and Ftp from one server to another.I know steps like this: *Backup mysql*Make a copy of Ftp files etc.. this is no problem.My question:When i move the old Ftp files to the new server, should i extract install-folder (the one that you delete after installation) to my old Ftp? or should i just put the ftp files like it is?Best ragardsMax Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Patric Posted August 26, 2010 Share Posted August 26, 2010 No, if you only want to make a copy of your actual shop from a server to another, you only have to copy the existing folder/files to the new server.No need to reinstall PrestaShop.However:* do not forget to migrate the database* your .htaccess file may need some changes to fit with your host's requirements.
