Business Databases Posted October 21, 2008 Share Posted October 21, 2008 is there a way to make Featured products on front page rotate evey time a cutomer visits or refreshes the page.This would be a great feature as it is being static will not give the impresion of all your products.At least if it was rotated the customer will be presented with a different products when she or he visits.Any help pleaseThank you Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Posted May 30, 2010 Share Posted May 30, 2010 I think this would be possible...Although I don't have the skills to do the programming, when I modified one of my featured products block to reflect specials, I used the specials block as a reference. If you've noticed, the specials block randomly gets a special, which rotates upon refresh.When looking through the code of the specials block I noticed it was utilizing the getRandomSpecial function, which I later found in classes/Product.phpMaybe you could start looking through that function to modify it... I don't have the programming skills to bust out code changes, but there are others on this forum that might be able to help.If I get the chance, I'll also try to take a look at it.Hope this helps.
