[SOLVED] How restore/upload my database file?

Hello. I have tried some new things out and have backed up my database via the admin-function.

I am now done with the tests, and I want to restore my database again.. but I cant find any function in the
backoffice for doing this.

Would be very happy if someone could help me out here, how do I restore my database?

I haven't used the option through prestashop backoffice to backup the database. My host has cpanel and there's a backup wizard to backup/restore those files. Who's your host or do you host yourself?

Backup database using prestashop backup module , cpanel or phpmyadmin


backup prestashop file folder

restore database using phpmyadmin
1.create database exactly as in .config/settings.inc.php
2.create users for database exactly as in settings.inc.php


2.modify your path in settings.inc.php

try and see if it works !

Updating this old thread.  When you do this process, will the system notify the admin if there is a file mis-match.  I'm not exactly sure what version one of these older database backups is running on.
