nick2010
Hi,I'm working on a Prestashop site, you can view it here: http://tinyurl.com/34y2k8x (Men Category page)I have a main category image for Men, Women, Accessories etc, which displays fine, as they're main categories. But if you click on any sub-category in Men for example : http://tinyurl.com/2ws2wrb it shows the sub category image at the top of the page, Prestashop resizes it correctly, 600px x 150, but I want to display a different image here, like the main category image in Men.I know that with modifications the Category description field can be modified to accept HTML, so that's one possible workaround. But I'm using a CSV to import the category information and to upload the images. So I want to know if it's possible to add another column to the spreadsheet for sub-category main images.Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks. Torbz
I have a similar issue, though it varies slightly. One of my categories (http://www.esunproof.co.uk/store/136-footwear) has a main banner image. The sub-categories are displayed in small thumbnail images which are obviously derived from the banner image of those sub-categories.How can I:a. use different images for those thumbnails of the sub-categories (assuming they stay that small, square size)?b. resize the display of those images (i.e. which option in PREF > IMAGE relates to sub-cat pictures, if any)?I wouldn't mind having the sub-cat banners being listed one after another in rows - rather than the small squares. Would I have to edit the category.php file to take the banner images of the sub-cats rather than the auto-generated thumbnails?Any advice much appreciated.... tutygr
Yes, by using image maps.Set your category image as usual, and for your large main category image go to image maps, upload and set the category that you want it to be displayed.See an example here : http://www.ggshop.gr/84-tzakiSelect one of the categories to see.
