ROE
My visitor counter on Headbangers.dk is going crazy. Generating 2500 - 3000 visits a day. I wish it was true :-) but this can't be right. Seems every visiting IP adress generates up to 100 entries in the counter. Site functionallity is not otherwise affected, but all statistics are now useless to me. What could be wrong? Tried upgrading all control panel (dashboard) modules, but nothing seems to help. Best regards Rasmus Prestashop version 1.7.1.
selectshop.at
Your shop is an upgrade ? Is this counter the native one ? Is it an extra module ? Seems it is also counting visit of bots and serp's. For PS 1.7. the stats are now bound to your google analytics account. On older PS-versions this was not the case. If you think that there is a bug on that google analytics stats module, so please add a ticket to the official Prestashop debugging platform: http://forge.prestashop.com/
ROE
No, the shop was installed as is (version 1.7.1.2) and the counter is not a module, just the native one in the dashboard.
ROE
It has been working fine until about a week ago.

Juliusj
My counter going crazy. Updated to 1.7.5.0, no changes. Anybody knows, how to solve this? 2019-01-15 there was any visitors, but shows more than 1000.
ROE
Hi Juliusj, I never resolved the issue. I simply stopped using the build-in visitor counter and created a google analytics account and used this instead.
Zapri
I reckon it counts all the various bots as visitors. Not sure how to fix that though...
selectshop.at
@Zapri use Google analytics instead. Prestashop's counter is not filtering bots.
