Contact Form spam Issue & Gaps in Front Page Products

Hello,

We're experiencing high level of spam messages from our contact form, we'd like to disable it for now and just have a jpeg picturing our email address. We have recently upgraded to 1.6.1.13 and can not find the way of accessing and editing the contact form. Our website is ampleplay.co.uk

Secondly, our front page with all our products, when seen from a desktop (tested in Firefox and Safari), appears to have gaps where products should be. We have refreshed/updated the products but it doesn't seem to close the products up, we still have these blanks.

I'm having the same problem as you, but I can't find the answer on how to deleted or deactivate my contact form.

Have you ever been able to resolve yours ?

I had a problem with spam a few months ago. I solved this by installing a captcha module to my contact form and to customer registration.

 

The module I used was called CAPTCHA  (Green Icon with a lock on and ETS in the corner just incase my link didnt work). This means that bots cannot auto send spam as they have to insert text/numbers, or if you link to google recaptcha, click on photos containing certain items before they can move on. This helps differentiate between spam bots and real customers who may need help.
